Every single Australian can do their part to support our Veterans. Whether it's making an effort to improve your understanding of the challenges that Veterans face, supporting Veteran charities, or purchasing products from Veteran-owned business, your contribution can make a significant impact - and change lives.
Veteran Friendly Business
Businesses are integral to improving outcomes for Veterans. Some businesses can create opportunities through improving awareness of Veteran issues, creating employment opportunities or developing supplier relationships with Veteran owned businesses.
Organisations that may present risks to vulnerable Veterans are especially vital to improving outcomes.
Veteran Friendly Government
Every level of Government is crucial in addressing Veteran challenges. We believe that to make real improvements in Veteran social and wellness outcomes, Local Government can play a more pivotal role. Veteran Friendly Australia's aim is to have State and Federal Government support to ensure all 500+ Councils around Australia are certified "Veteran Friendly" by 2025.
Community Organisations
With thousands of general and Veteran-specific support organisations across Australia, it's critical that access to the right services, at the right time, is available. Our aim is to ensure that Veterans have better access to support options within their local communities, and to lobby Government to remove the obstacles that often worsen outcomes for Veterans in crisis.
